A Word from the PastorMessage from Danny Churches are comprised of relationships between likeminded believers. On the average, people join a church because they form friendships with people inside the church. Friendships are like bank accounts. You can only withdraw if you have made deposits. If someone continues to withdraw without depositing, the account fails. So it is with friendship. Friendships that are one-sided will not remain solid. Both friends have to benefit from the account of friendly. Vince Lombardi, Hall of Fame Football Coach, described the marks of a winning team. He said, " There are a lot of coaches with good ball clubs who know the fundamentals and have plenty of discipline but still don't win the game. Then you come to the third ingredient: if you're going to play together as a team, you've got to care for one another. You've got to love each other. Each player has to be thinking about the next guy and saying to himself, ‘If I don't block that man, Paul is going to get his legs broken. I have to do my job in order that he can do his.' The difference between mediocrity and greatness is the feeling these guys have for each other." Come to think of it, should not churches think and act this way. Love, Danny Don's Dabblings Don's Dabblings. Following a full course meal prepared by Lounell Rodd assisted by Mary Bennefield and Judy Fowler, our "C" and "A" teams worked diligently writing 26 cards and notes, made 16 telephone calls, prayed for 42 individuals, and made 8 personal visits. Again, let me stress the need for you to complete CARE Cards letting us know of those to whom we can minister. Christians who care submit themselves to one another. Note this Scripture: "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God". (Eph. 5:21). We are living in an era of self-expression and independence. The slogan of most people seems to be "I'm going to do my thing my way." Yet the Word of God tells us that the way to fulfillment is through submission. This submission is the result of the fullness of the Spirit. Someone has said: "if you want to practice submission, every morning you give God your body, your mind and your will." We should ask the Holy Spirit for His infilling. That is the beginning of a life of daily victory.
