AWANA NEWS Ever since the fall of 1999, our AWANA Club has sponsored a needy AWANA Club in Jamaica. You can see letters and pictures from them on the bulletin board near the back door of the church. The dues that your child brings each week go to help these children buy handbooks, uniforms, and awards. We have designated February as Adopt-a-Club month. Each child who brings at least $4.00 during February will receive an Adopt-a-Club patch or pin to wear on their uniform. A Word from the PastorMessage From Danny I always find it difficult to decide to call church services off due to inclement weather. Last week was no different. The icy conditions were more severe in some parts than others. There was the chance of someone trying to get to church might have an accident. There was the possibility of someone falling and getting hurt on church property. These were all consideration that went into the decision making process. In these types of decisions, I think of the safety and well being of the congregation of PGBC. I missed you last week, but for safety sake it was necessary to cancel the services. Thank you for your understanding. Just as a reminder, the ministries of the church continued even if we did not meet. Your offerings and gifts to our Lord are still needed to cover the cost of ministry. I am grateful for your support through your faithfulness in giving, praying, and living for our Lord. It is time for MEN's FRATERNITY to start again. We meet on Tuesday at 6:30 pm. This is a great work of our men's ministry. I want to invite you to be a part of this endeavor to build the men of PGBC into men of strength in their faith, for their families, and friendships. Again, I covet your prayers as God continues to work in me to show me His will for this church. God's vision for this church is of great importance for me at this time in my life. Please remember me to our Father as you pray. God Bless You! Danny Don's Dabblings Michael's Youth and Children News Youth and Children News I enjoyed watching it snow this past weekend. As the snow was coming down and covering the ground, I was reminded of the passage in Isaiah …"Though your sins are like scarlet they shall be as white as snow." This powerful figurative description of our sinful condition and the marvelous work Christ in our lives should cause all believers to rejoice. Christ, through His life, death, and resurrection made a way for our sins to be cleansed.
